Here are a few of many rights you have as the homeowner of a manufactured home with a land lease from a landlord:
- You have a right to sell your manufactured home, even if your landlord does not approve (though they do have to approve the new tenant of their lot). Your landlord does not have an automatic right to a commission from your home sale.
- You have the right to a written lease of terms.
- You have a right to be properly notified if your landlord is going to have you move away from their lot.
- You have a right to a written statement that describes that manufactured home community prior to signing a lease.
- Manufactured community rules are only enforceable upon you if they are written into the lease that you signed.
- You have the right to report health and safety violations without being evicted for doing so.
- You have the right to receive proper notice from your landlord prior to eviction.
